Clover is a large, standard jenny who was about 9 years old when we rescued her in January 2018. She was part of a group seized by an animal control agency. She came from a terrible neglect situation, living with some ponies in a filthy paddock and barn, with no room to exercise and no hoof care at all. Her feet were so damaged that she could barely walk from the trailer to the barn when she arrived. After several months of hoof trims, she began to feel much better, and she now is sound and happy. She tends to get fat very, very easily, so, like all our donkeys, she has to be managed carefully, with limited access to grass. She is super sweet, and gets along with all the other donkeys.
